HISTORY

We Impact Africa was founded in 2016 as a result of many years of unrelenting desire in the hearts of the founders to alleviate the problems of acute lack of medicines, healthcare and shortage of medical personnel and nutrition in Africa arising out of extreme poverty. It is an offshoot of God’s Favorite House Ministries, Nigeria, which was founded in November of 2005 with focus on mobilizing resources for missions to rural areas where education, healthcare, and clean water are mostly needed. The ministry regularly commissions mission trips and engages missionaries across Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Kenya, Benin, and Togo amongst others. The ministry provides monthly support for missionaries who live and serve in some rural parts of Africa. Together, God’s Favorite House Ministries and We Impact Africa have taken teams of doctors, nurses and medical personnel on medical outreaches in some of the mentioned countries.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to provide care and reduce mortality caused by preventable and treatable diseases, and malnutrition among the poor in Africa through the provision of free medical services, medicines and food. We accomplish these through the generosity of kind hearted individuals, organizations and skilled medical personnel from around the world.

OUR MISSION

With the generous and unrelenting support of our partners and donors, our mission is to positively impact the lives of 1,000,000 African poor through the provision of food, free medicines and medical services by skilled medical personnel within the shortest time possible.

OUR SLOGAN

“Extending life by connecting those who need help with those who can provide help”

THE TWO PROBLEMS LEADING TO OUR VISION AND MISSION

1. SHORTAGE OF MEDICINES, MEDICAL RESOURCES AND PERSONNEL

According to African Renewal, World Health Organization has identified “shortage of resources and the lack of skilled personnel as the major factors inhibiting access to medicines.” Reports have it that, “approximately 1.6 million Africans died of malaria, tuberculosis and HIV-related illnesses in 2015.”  The sad part is that the deaths were caused by preventable and treatable diseases. (See link)

2. CHRONIC HUNGER DUE TO EXTREME POVERTY

According to Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), people suffer from chronic hunger if their daily energy intake for extended period of time is below what they need for a healthy and active life.”  Going by this standard, reports have it that 226.7 million people are famished in Africa.  United Nation’s data contends that 3.2 million children under the age of 5 die yearly in sub-Saharan Africa due to malnutrition.  (See https:/www.sos-usa.org)
